My Words #2

Here are a few more of my old poems that I wanted to share.

No Sound

Her voice is silenced
She makes no sound
She can't break these chains
With which she is bound

A tear falls
For she longs to be free
She misses her happiness
And the smile she used to see

Her identity is no longer hers
She's fallen into a shadow
Still she keeps quiet
And fights this silent battle

Will she beat this battle
With chains bound so tight?
She may end up losing it
But not without a fight

A fight she'll fight alone
She'll tell no one of her pain
And how outside the sun may shine
But inside it seems to rain

A million raindrops fall
Followed by a million more
And she sits and wonders
What she's living for

Leave Me For Dead

Throwing me off the bridge
Driving me off the edge
Drowning me in the ditch
Pushing me off the ledge

You leave me for dead
You don't care if I'm ever found
You leave me in a pool of my own blood
Hoping in time I'll drown

You slit my throat
So no words my mouth could speak
And if I'm ever found
No secrets of yours will my lips leak

My hands you have tied
They are held behind my back
And only remind me now
Of the strength that I lack

You tied my feet together
So I could no longer walk
And you are waiting until
My body is outlined in chalk

Not Mine

A shadow falls over me
I know I've lost you
But for some reason
My heart refuses to say it's through

I just keep wishing
You'll come back to me
But that won't happen
It's my fault we'll never be

I've fallen for a guy
That has chosen another
The day my heart dies
Is the day you say you love her

I try to hide my love
So no one knows how I feel
I keep praying that I'll wake up
And that none of this is real
